Those who were Tigers in first grade have already earned their Bobcat badge. Any new Wolves that join, will first need to earn their Bobcat badge.
Once a Cub Scout has earned the Bobcat badge, he starts earning his Wolf rank. To earn the Wolf badge, a boy must complete 7 adventures in the following areas:
- Call of the Wild
- Council Fire
- Duty of God Footsteps
- Howling at the Moon
- Paws on the Path
- Running with the Pack
- (One) Elective Adventure
In addition to the 7 adventures, a Scout must also complete the exercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse:A Parent's Guide, and earn the Cyber Chip award for his age.
For each adventure, the Wolf Scout must complete the requirements outlined in the Wolf Cub Scout Handbook. After the Wolf Scout completes each adventure, he will earn an adventure loop.
After earning the Wolf badge, Wolves can work on elective adventures for the rest of the school year to earn additional adventure loops.
