We use a variety of ways to communicate with our parents. Once you have filled out a contact sheet, you will be added to our communication list. In addition to texting and emails, use the following methods:
Remind: With this app, you will receive messages to your text inbox. This app allows leaders to send out announcements, group texts, or individual messages. This is used in addition to text because it allows us to save all of our pack related messages in one place. If you would like to see previous messages sent before you join, you can download the remind app. Instructions for joining the group will be given after joining the pack.
Scoutbook: this is where we keep all of our information related to our calendar as well as where we log your scout's advancement. This app allows you to see which requirements your scout has completed as well as which he/she still needs to work on to achieve rank. It is less cumbersome that the scout handbook and is updated with the new scout program. Event reminders are set up to automatically go out to parents. The calendar can be linked to your own calendar on your mobile device. Your are also able to post comments and RSVP to events directly on the site. Access to Scoutbook will be given to parents when you have completed the contact sheet. Advancement can be logged once your registration has been processed.
Band: We are adding the app called Band. This app allows chat, photo albums, a calendar, sign-ups, attendance, reminders, and a place to store files and forms. This is a closed group so only parents/guardians of current scouts will be permitted to join for privacy.
